On Saturday, November 4th, 2023, The English School came alive with an infectious spirit of camaraderie and enthusiasm as students, parents, and graduates converged on the campus to celebrate the time-honoured tradition of Founder's Day. The Founder's Day festivities started with the Parent-Student Doubles Tennis Tournament at the brand-new English School Tennis Courts. Teams of parents and students joined forces, serving up thrilling rallies and showcasing their skills. It was heartening to witness the generations bridging the gap through their shared love for the sport, creating a bond that transcended the age divide.

Over at the Hockey Pitch, the atmosphere was electrifying as students squared off against our Members (ESOBGA) in a hockey showdown. The competitive spirit was palpable, but it was the sense of unity and sportsmanship that truly shone through.

Inside the Sports Centre, the youngest members of the School community, Year 1 & 2 girls, demonstrated their prowess in the Girls Basketball Tournament. Their determination and teamwork left an indelible impression on all who watched, proving that our future athletes are already on a path to greatness.

Meanwhile, on the Main Football Ground, Year 1 & 2 boys displayed their skills in a thrilling football tournament. The cheers and applause from the sidelines echoed the pride of parents, graduates, and fellow students alike as they witnessed the next generation of football stars in action.

As the sun began to set, the action continued with Students taking on ESOBGA Members in Volleyball at the Sports Centre and Futsal on the Main Football Ground. The energy was contagious as players from different eras came together, relishing the opportunity to compete while fostering lifelong connections.

The highlight of the evening was the Student Council Futsal Tournament and the 3on3 Basketball Tournament at the Sports Centre. These events showcased the exceptional talent and dedication of our students, reinforcing the idea that they are not just the leaders of tomorrow but the stars of today.
